In the first place this cd was already released in 2006, but it was remastered by a Canadian lable, which is the version I have here right now.
In general Chile is famous for its numerous Death and Trash Metal Bands and more normal metal-bands do find the way to us over the big ocean rather rarely.
The four rockers of HUINCA celebrate on their debut album a very interesting Heavy Metal-mixture, which is enriched with a lot of give-aways and rock flair.
Right the opener “Mari Chi Weu” surprises with its catchy riffing and the using of a tromp, that gives the song a very special touch.
Anyhow the material on the selftitled 10-tracker is performed very innovative and I want to contend that the band commands a unique style.
Everything sounds very rhythmically and the album is rocking and grooving endless.
The instrumental performance of the four southamericans is splendid and so it’s not a surprise, that HUINCA are welcome guests at festivals. Also shows in Poland and Germany haven’t been an exception.
By the way on my cd with “Fobia” is found a bonustrack which hasn’t been on the first cd.
HUINCA brought in an eminently entertaining album, which contrasts pleasantly with the rough stuff of other chilean bands.
A further tip for hearing is the fast “Extremist”.
